SPYAIR to Perform Opening Theme for "The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System" Anime

The beloved rock band SPYAIR is returning with a new project! According to the official announcement, the band will perform the opening theme for the The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System (Tsuihō Sareta Tensei Jū Kishi wa Game Chishiki de Musō Suru) anime. This new track, titled "Awake," will reflect the action-packed atmosphere of the series. The real treat for fans came with the broadcast schedule: the anime will premiere on July 2, 2026, and will remain on screens for two "cours" (approximately six months) without interruption.

Our story revolves around Elma Edvan, who comes from a line of swordsmen but receives the "flawed" Heavy Knight class during the blessing ceremony held when he turned 15. Exiled and cast out by his family, Elma realizes that this world is identical to a game he played in the past. Knowing that this class, which everyone calls "slow and useless," is actually the strongest class in the game, our hero begins to use his knowledge from his past life to game the system in his favor and conquer the world.

The technical staff behind the anime is also quite remarkable. The production is handled by the studio GoHands, known for its unique visual style. While Shingo Suzuki serves as the general director, Katsumasa Yokomine sits in the director's chair. Character designs are entrusted to Takayuki Uchida. The voice cast includes talented names such as Takeo Ōtsuka as Elma, Shion Wakayama as his companion Luce Rubis, and Natsuko Abe as Maris Edvan.
