Three-Month Symphogear Night Marathon at Tokyo Cinema

Exciting news for Senki Zesshou Symphogear fans: Tokyo's famous cinema Cinema Art Shinjuku will screen seasons 3, 4, and 5 of the series in all-night shows starting June 27, 2025, for three months. The first event starts on the night of June 27-28 with Symphogear G (season 3), followed in July by Symphogear GX (season 4) and in August by Symphogear AXZ (season 5).

This special event covers the series' most popular period. The production, famous for its music by Noriyasu Agematsu and the Elements Garden team, has had a huge cult following since its first season in 2012. Especially from season 3 onward, the deepening story and elevated action scenes propelled Symphogear to the peak of the "girls fighting with music" genre. The fact that Cinema Art Shinjuku has held similar marathons for series like Madoka Magica and Love Live! shows how special this event is.

These screenings mean a lot to fans. While Symphogear in Japan is usually associated with Blu-ray boxes or limited cinema screenings, this time there is a chance to watch three different seasons from start to finish in one night. Additionally, each season takes viewers on an emotional journey with its own theme and unforgettable songs (such as "Radiant Force", "Gekka no Inori"). Tickets for the event are limited, and overseas guests are advised to make reservations early.

So what's next? No announcement has been made yet for seasons 1 and 2 or the final season Symphogear XV (season 6). However, if this three-month marathon is successful, Cinema Art Shinjuku is expected to hold similar events for other parts of the series. Japanese anime festivals and cinema events often take such feedback into account. Considering that Symphogear celebrates its 13th anniversary in 2025, this marathon opens a door for both nostalgia and a new generation of viewers.
