The second season of The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten (Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken) anime series officially begins on April 3, 2026. Another development exciting fans ahead of the premiere is the announcement of a new initiative called Princess Project. This project will kick off on April 3 at 19:00 (13:00 TRT) alongside special visuals shared from the first episode of the new season.
Adapted from the popular light novel series written by Saekisan and brought to life with illustrations by Hanekoto, the production achieved great success with its first season in 2023. The story begins when Amane, a high school student living on his own, gives his umbrella to his neighbor Mahiru, known as the 'angel' of the school, on a rainy day. This small act of kindness turns into an intimate relationship that slowly blossoms between the two and warms the hearts of viewers. The series crowned its success by being chosen first in five different categories at the "Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! 2024" awards.
While Project No.9 studio remains in the production chair for the second season, the directing duties are now taken over by Chihiro Kumano. Names like Takayuki Noguchi for character designs and Moe Hyūga for music retain their places in the cast. The new season's opening song, "You are a Lover," will be performed by the famous artist Masayoshi Ōishi. The first episode visuals shared offer clues about how deep the bond between Mahiru and Amane will grow in this new era where they continue as an official couple.
