On April 12, the main voice cast of the series gathered at a special retrospective screening event held at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya in Tokyo. Aoi Yuki, who brings the character Maomao to life, Takeo Otsuka, who voices Jinshi, and Asami Seto, in the role of Shisui/Loulan, both reflected on the past season and shared clues about the highly anticipated second season.

Yuki stated that she brought the character to life by imagining the depth of the emotions Maomao feels when addressing Shisui. The series, which has sold millions of copies worldwide and has two different manga adaptations, is known for solving medical mysteries in an ancient Chinese atmosphere. The anime, whose first season began in October 2023, managed to become one of the modern classics in a short time.
