Winds of romantic fantasy continue to blow in the anime world! Exciting new news has arrived regarding the highly anticipated anime adaptation of The Duke's Son Claims He Won't Love Me Yet Showers Me with Adoration (known in Japanese as Koushaku-shi wa "Aisanai" to Itta Hazu da ga, Dekiai ga Tomaranai). According to the official announcement, renowned and beloved industry names Ryōhei Kimura and Ryōta Suzuki have joined the series' voice cast. With these new additions, preparations for the production, which is scheduled to premiere in July 2026, are continuing at full speed.
In the newly announced cast, Ryōhei Kimura will bring to life one of the key characters in the story, Theodore. We know Kimura from his energetic roles in popular series such as Haikyu!! (Kotaro Bokuto) and Kuroko's Basketball (Ryota Kise). On the other hand, Ryōta Suzuki will voice the character Elias. Suzuki won the hearts of fans especially with his role as Yu Ishigami in the Kaguya-sama: Love is War series. How these two talented names will develop chemistry with the leads Fairouz Ai (Lydia) and Kaito Ishikawa (Cyril) has already become a subject of curiosity.
So, why is this series attracting so much attention? The original light novel series, penned by Sora and brought to life with illustrations by Saki, quickly gained great popularity among readers who love the "cold duke" and "misunderstood love" themes. The story tells the sweet and occasionally humorous tale of a young woman who enters into a political marriage and, despite her husband saying "I will never love you," is constantly subjected to his intense attention and affection.
