The Oblivious Saint Can't Contain Her Power anime, with an official announcement made on June 29, announced that five new actors have joined the project. The new names include Mitsuru Miyamoto, Kōsuke Toriumi, Hana Tamegai, Hiroki Tōchi, and Sayaka Ōhara. With these additions, the series' cast has expanded significantly.
The series is adapted from the popular light novel series of the same name. Written by author Fuyu Aoki and starting on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform, the story follows the adventures of a saint who is unaware of her powers. In the director's seat of the anime adaptation is Makoto Katō. The production is handled by the beloved studio CloverWorks.
Previously announced main roles include Saori Ōnishi voicing the main character Iris, along with Aoi Koga and Nobuhiko Okamoto. While it hasn't been specified which characters the newly announced actors will portray, a promotional trailer released in recent weeks gave hints of several supporting characters.
The series will premiere this Tuesday, July 2, in Japan. International streaming platform Crunchyroll has announced that it will simulcast the series on the same day. Fans are eagerly awaiting this anime, especially due to the series' humorous tone and plot woven with misunderstandings. The new cast announcement has further heightened the excitement ahead of the premiere.
