The One Piece Remake's First Promotional Image Released

The One Piece, the highly anticipated One Piece remake produced by WIT Studio for Netflix, has released its first promotional image. According to Anime Corner, this image is considered one of the most important pre-release promotional steps for the project. With this image, fans got their first official look at the new series' art style and atmosphere.
The One Piece was announced at Jump Festa in December 2023. Based on Eiichiro Oda's manga, the project will revisit the original anime from the beginning and tell the East Blue story. It is stated that Oda, the series' creator, is also involved as executive producer. WIT Studio, known for productions such as Attack on Titan and Vinland Saga, is raising expectations considerably.
The new series' staff includes Attack on Titan director Masashi Koizuka, screenwriter Taku Kishimoto, character designer Kyoji Asano, and composer Hiroyuki Sawano. These names have a large fan base in the anime world, especially for their work on Attack on Titan. The original One Piece anime has been produced by Toei Animation since 1999 and has surpassed 1,100 episodes. Oda's manga has also been published in Weekly Shonen Jump since 1997 and has sold over 500 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling manga in history.
The remake will be released on Netflix. This project is of great importance in terms of bringing a long-running series back to life with modern production values. The East Blue story covers the period when Luffy gathers his first crew; this will be an entry point to the series for new viewers. At the same time, old fans will be able to experience the story they love anew with a new visual language.
No exact release date has been announced yet. However, the release of the first promotional image indicates that the promotional process is accelerating. New trailers and details are expected in the coming months. An exciting period has begun for One Piece fans.
