Excitement Peaks in the Tennis World: Tenimyu 4th Season Rikkai Match Announced!

The long-awaited big news for The Prince of Tennis (Tenipuri) fans has finally arrived! Musical 'The Prince of Tennis' (Tenimyu), which is adapted from Takeshi Konomi's world-famous manga series and is one of Japan's most popular stage shows, is moving into the most critical phase of its 4th season. According to the official announcement, the "4th Season National Tournament Seigaku vs. Rikkai Part 1" show will meet the audience between July and August 2026.
This new production will be staged in a total of six different theaters across Japan's five major cities: Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima, Aichi, and Fukuoka. The most exciting detail that sets this season apart from the others is that the match against Nagoya Seitoku middle school will be covered so comprehensively in a stage show for the first time. Fans are eagerly awaiting the dynamics of this match and how the characters will be portrayed on stage.
The Tenimyu series, which began in 2003, is considered the pioneer and most successful example of the "2.5D musical" trend in Japan. The 4th season, which started in 2021, re-examines the story from a modern perspective with an all-new cast. This national tournament battle between Seigaku and Rikkai holds a very special place for the series' fanbase as it contains the most iconic and emotional moments of the manga.
Along with the official announcement, the cast and main visual were also shared. The character visuals of the Seigaku and Rikkai teams were highly acclaimed for their costume and makeup details, which remained faithful to the spirit of the manga. Although ticket sales and the full performance schedule will be announced in the future, this announcement has already created a huge buzz on social media. This musical battle on the tennis court is expected to be one of the most magnificent productions of the series to date.
