The long-awaited first official trailer and key visual for the second season of the Kōri no Jōheki (The Ramparts of Ice) anime have been released. With the announcement, it was confirmed that Season 2 of the series will premiere on October 1, 2026. For those unfamiliar, Kōri no Jōheki is a manga series originally written by Kocha Agasawa. The manga began serialization on LINE Manga in January 2019 and later on Shueisha's Manga Mee platform, concluding in April 2023 with 14 volumes in total. The series follows the slow but deeply sincere relationship between Koyuki Hikawa, a high school student who does not show her emotions, keeps everyone at a distance, and is known as a "wall of ice," and her energetic classmate Minato Amamiya, who tries to break through that wall. Praised for its realistic dialogue and character development, free of exaggerated drama, the manga gained a large fanbase, especially among young adult readers.

The anime's first season aired in July 2025 and lasted 12 episodes. The season adapted up to approximately volume 6 of the manga and focused especially on Koyuki's past and the foundations of her friendship with Minato.
