The Strongest Job is Apparently Not a Hero or a Sage Arrives in April with a New Anime-Based Game

We have exciting news for isekai fans! Sunsoft and Rocket Studio have announced the official game for the series currently making waves in the anime world, The Strongest Job is Apparently Not a Hero or a Sage (Saikyou no Shokugyou wa Yuusha demo Kenja demo naku Kanteishi (Kari) rashii desu yo?). Titled GAME The Strongest Job Is Apparently Not a Hero or a Sage, but an Appraiser (Provisional)! ~Dungeon and Mystery Girl~, this title will launch worldwide on April 23, 2026. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam), and the best part is that it will feature English language support from day one.
The game takes a slightly different path from typical isekai RPGs by appearing as an "arena shooter." In this fast-paced combat-focused title, players will explore dungeons, fight waves of enemies, and try to escape from relentless "Phantom" hunters. Inspired by the original light novel series written by Atekichi and the anime adaptation that began airing in April 2026, the game will feature a fully voiced original story. The plot follows the main character Hibiki as he diverges from the events at the beginning of the anime series, falls into a mysterious dungeon, and embarks on an adventure with a mysterious girl he encounters there.
Looking at the history of the series, we follow an ordinary high school student named Hibiki Manabe who is summoned to another world, where instead of cool classes like "Hero" or "Sage," he is given the "Appraiser" class, which initially seems useless. However, Hibiki soon discovers that this ability is actually the world's strongest cheat skill. The light novel and manga series, which has been ongoing since 2017, gained significant momentum with the anime adaptation produced by Studio Flad. Now, this universe is being brought to the gaming world with Sunsoft's expertise.
This announcement is particularly notable for coming right after the anime began airing. Sunsoft promises that the game's controls will be simple but possess high strategic depth. Thanks to the three random upgrade options that appear every time you level up, each gameplay experience will feel different. Additionally, the three-person party members you choose before entering the dungeon will directly affect your active and passive abilities, offering tactical variety. If you love fast action and strategy in an isekai world, don't forget to mark April 23 on your calendars!
