New Trailer and Release Date Shared for The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King Anime!

As the spring season approaches in the anime world, there is new news from the highly anticipated fantasy and romance series The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King (Himekishi wa Barbaroi no Yome). With the latest promotional video shared by Kadokawa, the official release date of the series has been confirmed as April 9, 2026. Originally scheduled for release in October 2025 but delayed so the production team could work on the episodes in more detail, the production is finally ready to meet its audience.
The series tells the story of Serafina de Lavillant, the strongest knight in the West. Sent to bring the "barbarian" tribes of the East to their knees, Serafina is unexpectedly taken prisoner. However, while waiting to be executed, the tribal leader Veor makes her a surprising offer: marriage! Based on Noriaki Kotoba's popular manga, which has been published in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine since 2021, this story tells of the breaking down of prejudices and the blossoming of an unexpected love in an epic language.
The technical staff behind the production is also quite remarkable. While Takayuki Tanaka sits in the director's chair for the anime produced by Studio Jumondo, the music is entrusted to Arisa Okehazama, whom we know from productions such as The Apothecary Diaries. In the voice cast, Sayumi Suzushiro brings the character Serafina to life, while Satoshi Inomata voices King Veor. In addition, experienced names such as Hiroshi Kamiya and Aki Toyosaki strengthen the cast with supporting characters.
For fans, this anime promises to be not just an action series, but also a production that stands out with its character depth. The opening theme will be decorated with Mayu Maeshima's song "Beautiful," and the closing theme will be sajou no hana's track "Shiru Beki Koto." Anime lovers in Turkey will be able to follow the series on Crunchyroll from the day it is released. With both its visual quality and emotional depth, it seems to be a candidate to be one of the most talked-about works of this spring season.
