Release Date, New Trailer, and Cast Announced for The World Is Dancing Anime!

Based on Kazuto Mihara's acclaimed manga, the historical anime The World Is Dancing continues to generate great excitement in the anime world. The producers have officially announced that the series will begin airing in Japan on July 2, 2026. Along with this announcement, a new main trailer reflecting the series' atmosphere, a striking promotional visual, and new voice actors joining the cast have also been revealed.
Brought to life by Cypic studio and directed by Toshimasa Kuroyanagi, The World Is Dancing is set in 14th-century Japan and focuses on the youth of the legendary Zeami Motokiyo, known as the founder of Noh theater, during the period he was known as Oniyasha. The story centers on young Oniyasha's artistic awakening, which begins when he encounters a 'good' dance, and his relationship with Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, as he questions the meaning of dance.
The new trailer offers viewers impressive hints about the series' visual quality and dramatic depth, while the opening theme song "Shusyo" performed by the group Macaroni Empitsu was also heard for the first time. The cast, which previously included names like Yumiri Hanamori as Oniyasha, Maaya Uchida as Kogane, and Katsuyuki Konishi as Kan'ami, has been joined by experienced names such as Takahiro Sakurai as Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, Nobuo Tobita as Nijo Yoshimoto, and Mamiko Noto as Nariko.
