New Visual, Trailer, and Additional Voice Cast Released for Tomb Raider King Anime — Premiere July 8

Excitement is at its peak for the Tomb Raider King anime! The previously announced production, whose details have been eagerly awaited, will greet screens on July 8. According to Anime Corner, a new visual and trailer, as well as additional voice actors, have been revealed. The trailer features action-packed tomb raiding scenes and the determined expression of our main character, Seo Joon-Ho.
In the new visual, Seo Joon-Ho stands in front of an ancient temple rising behind him, holding a mystical artifact. The visual successfully captures the dark and exciting atmosphere of the series. The trailer showcases fast-paced fight choreography, powers used through artifacts, and moments filled with enemies. Additionally, new voice actors joining the cast include Yoon Jae-Ho (antagonist Park Jin-Sung), Kim Na-Yeon (mysterious supporting character Lee Soo-Jin), among others.
Tomb Raider King is a South Korean manhwa of 397 chapters, originally published between 2019 and 2023. The story follows a group of raiders as they discover supernatural powers hidden within historical artifacts and their struggle to control these powers. The manhwa was created by author 2L and artist SAN.G under Redice Studio (also the producer of Solo Leveling). With its fast-paced action and unique 'artifact system,' the series reached millions of readers worldwide and has generated great anticipation for its anime adaptation.
Although the anime's production studio has not been officially confirmed, leaks and industry rumors suggest that the project has been taken on by a major studio like A-1 Pictures. If true, we can expect high-quality animation and a faithful adaptation. The premiere is planned for July 8 in Japan; international streaming platforms and dates have not yet been announced. However, considering past Redice adaptations (such as Solo Leveling) have been on Crunchyroll and Netflix, it would not be surprising to see a similar release.
So why is this news important? Tomb Raider King is one of the most popular examples of the tomb raiding-themed action-fantasy genre. Following the success of Solo Leveling, the adaptation of another Redice project into an anime once again proves the rise of manhwa-based animations. The high production quality reflected in the trailer has already excited fans of the series. New trailers, character posters, and streaming platform announcements are expected in the coming days. Followers can mark July 8 on their calendars now!
