Tougen Anki fans have finally received the news they were waiting for! The series' highly anticipated sequel season, Nikko Kegon Falls Arc, will meet audiences in October 2026. With the official announcement made at the AnimeJapan 2026 event, it was confirmed that beloved figures of the anime world, Nobuhiko Okamoto and Kent Ito, have joined the voice cast. Okamoto will bring the character Hagure Nekosaki to life, while Ito will voice the character Yu Innami.
Based on Yura Urushibara's manga, which has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion magazine since 2020 and has sold over 5.5 million copies worldwide, the series reinterprets the classic Japanese legend of Momotaro from a modern and dark perspective. The story follows the survival struggle of young Shiki Ichinose, who discovers that he carries the blood of an "Oni" (Demon) in his veins, against the "Momotaro" organization that seeks to destroy him. The anime, which aired its first season in 2025, received great acclaim for its action-packed scenes and Studio Hibari's successful animation.
The technical staff remains consistent for the new season.
