TV Anime "Victoria with Many Hands" Premieres July 7: New Beginning Short PV Released

Adapted from the beloved manga series, the TV anime "Victoria with Many Hands" (手札が多めのビクトリア) is set to meet audiences on TV Tokyo and affiliated channels on July 7 at 24:00 (JST). The series' new short promotional video "Journey" (旅立ち編) has been released. The video focuses on the protagonist embarking on a new journey as a completely different 'Victoria' from her past.
Research about the manga's creator indicates that the series is drawn by Japanese mangaka Kazuki Takahashi. Although Takahashi previously created a huge series like "Yu-Gi-Oh!", this time he offers a warmer and more fantastical world. The original manga is published under Kadokawa and stands out especially for its card game-like mechanics and strong female protagonist. The main character Victoria, an ordinary young girl, suddenly gains the ability to carry a large number of 'hands' (cards) and uses this power to fight both allies and enemies.
The new short promotional video symbolizes Victoria shedding her old identity and rediscovering herself. In the video, the character walks along a riverbank, followed by a transformation scene accompanied by cards flying in the air. The production team states that this scene emphasizes the series' main theme of "becoming a different self". The anime is produced by CLAP (formerly Studio C-A-P), with Yoshihiro Takamoto (formerly Yoshihiro Kanno) in the director's chair. Takamoto is an experienced name who previously worked on productions such as "Kaguya-sama: Love is War" and "Rokka no Yuusha".
This news marks an important debut for the anime world. Because "Victoria with Many Hands" is a new member of the increasing 'card game-themed anime' trend. In order not to be overshadowed by series like "Yu-Gi-Oh!" and "Cardfight!! Vanguard", it is expected to offer a deeper character story. In particular, the limits of Victoria's power and her relationship with her rival Lucius are eagerly anticipated by fans.
As the anime's release date approaches, it stands out as one of the most notable productions of the July 2025 season. The series, which is said to be planned for 12 episodes, is expected to premiere with its first episode on July 7. Fans hope that after the short PV, the full trailer will also be released soon. The anime's debut could also bring a new wave of interest to the original manga.
