A New Visual Feast from WIT STUDIO and Orangestar: "Hanaikada" Music Video Released

One of the giants of the animation world, WIT STUDIO, has taken its successful collaboration with popular musician Orangestar a step further by releasing the official music video for the song "Hanaikada" (Flower Raft). This special project serves as the ending theme for Shunka Shuuto Daikousha: Haru no Mai (Agents of the Four Seasons: Spring Dance), a series for which the studio is currently handling the animation. Sung by Kase, the wife and frequent collaborator of Orangestar, the song combines the emotional depth of the series with the studio's signature aesthetic visuals.
The Shunka Shuuto Daikousha universe was created by Kana Akatsuki, the world-renowned author of Violet Evergarden. The story follows the tragic lives and struggles of divine beings called "Agents," who are tasked with maintaining the cycle of seasons on Earth. The anime adaptation, which premiered in March 2026, was brought to life by WIT STUDIO, known for massive productions such as Attack on Titan and Spy x Family. Ken Yamamoto sits in the director's chair, while the music is composed by a master of the craft, Kensuke Ushio.
This partnership between Orangestar and WIT STUDIO proves that the series is viewed not just as an anime, but as a comprehensive art project. A similar visual work was previously created for the series' opening theme, "Petals." Orangestar, a producer with Vocaloid roots, is known in Japan as the "voice of summer," and the melancholic yet hopeful tones he presents in this project harmonize perfectly with Kana Akatsuki's characteristic tragic storytelling. The music video is filled with mesmerizing scenes that symbolize the inner journeys of the characters and the changing of the seasons.
For fans, this music video offers an opportunity to get a closer look at the series' visual quality and the emotional world of its characters. While Shunka Shuuto Daikousha has achieved great success in both the light novel and manga worlds, this meticulous work by WIT STUDIO ensures the series reaches a wider global audience. Projects where music and visuals are so deeply intertwined continue to increase their lasting impact on viewers in the anime world. As new episodes of the series continue to air, such artistic clips are expected to further strengthen the connection to the story.
