Exciting news for fans of the One Piece universe! The long-awaited The One Piece anime remake, produced by WIT Studio, will be released worldwide on the Netflix platform in February 2027. This new adaptation will re-imagine the series' beginning, the East Blue Saga, with modern animation techniques, and its first season will consist of seven episodes.

This season will cover the first 50 chapters of the manga and will detail the events up to Luffy's meeting with Sanji in the Baratie Arc.
WIT Studio's involvement in the project has generated great excitement in the anime community. The studio is known for its critically acclaimed and visually stunning productions such as the first three seasons of Attack on Titan, Spy x Family, Vinland Saga, and Ranking of Kings. The remake will be directed by Masashi Koizuka, director of Attack on Titan's 2nd and 3rd seasons, with Hideaki Abe, known from Jujutsu Kaisen, serving as assistant director. The series composer is Taku Kishimoto from Ranking of Kings, and the character designers and chief animation directors have been announced as Kyoji Asano (Attack on Titan, Spy x Family) and Takatoshi Honda (In/Spectre).
This remake project is based on Eiichiro Oda's legendary manga, which has been published since 1997 and has sold over 600 million copies worldwide.
