Enchanting New Visual from Witch Hat Atelier Anime: "Magic Training" Begins for Fans!

Exciting news continues to arrive from the anime adaptation of Witch Hat Atelier (Tongari Boushi no Atelier), widely considered one of the most aesthetic works in the fantasy world. The series' official channels have shared a new "story visual" showing our main character Coco and her friends in an enchanting atmosphere. While the visual reflects the sparkling and detailed art style that is the hallmark of the series, it prepares fans for one of the most ambitious productions of 2026. Additionally, an interactive "magic circle training" project, where viewers can try drawing their own magic seals, has been officially launched.
The technical staff behind the anime proves why the project has created such high expectations. The production, undertaken by the Bug Films studio, is directed by Ayumu Watanabe, known for his visually stunning works such as Summer Time Rendering and Children of the Sea. The music for the series is entrusted to Yuka Kitamura, the composer of legendary games like Elden Ring and Dark Souls. Combined with the screenplay written by Hiroshi Seko (Jujutsu Kaisen), this powerhouse team aims to bring the unique "storybook" aesthetic of the manga to the screen.
The original manga series created by Kamome Shirahama has become a global phenomenon since it began in Monthly Morning Two magazine in 2016. Winning both Eisner and Harvey awards, the series has embraced the "Oscars of the comic book world" and has reached over 7.5 million copies sold worldwide as of 2026. Shirahama previously created cover illustrations for DC Comics and Marvel.
