The Zombieland Saga Legend Returns: Franchouchou's Massive Concert in Yokohama!

The moment Zombieland Saga fans have been waiting for has finally arrived! The series' iconic idol group Franchouchou made a spectacular return to the stage with the "Zombie Land Saga LIVE ~Franchouchou Yumeginga Festival~," held at Pia Arena MM in Kanagawa on April 4 and 5, 2026. The main cast, consisting of Kaede Hondo (Sakura Minamoto), Asami Tano (Saki Nikaido), Risa Taneda (Ai Mizuno), Maki Kawase (Junko Konno), Rika Kinugawa (Yugiri), and Minami Tanaka (Lily Hoshikawa), performed in full force, mesmerizing the audience.
This massive event marks the group's first live concert in nearly five years. Held under the theme of "Yumeginga" (Dream Galaxy), the festival transformed the city of Yokohama into an extension of Saga Prefecture. Fans had the chance to hear classic hits from the first two seasons of the series, as well as new songs from the recently released feature film, performed live for the first time. The stage production and the energy of the voice actors, who fully embodied their characters, once again proved the series' unshakable place in the anime world.
The timing of the concert coincides with a significant period for fans of the series. The film Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise, which brought the series' story to the big screen, was released in Japan on October 24, 2025, and subsequently reached global audiences in early 2026. Produced by MAPPA studio and focusing on an alien invasion, the film made a huge impact with striking events such as the legendary Tae Yamada (Zombie #0) finally "waking up." This concert serves as a victory lap, celebrating the film's success and taking the story to an intergalactic dimension.
Since its debut in 2018, Zombieland Saga has revolutionized the anime world with its innovative, zombie-themed take on the idol genre. The project, which set out with the mission of promoting the real-world Saga Prefecture, is recognized as a success story in the industry for its massive contribution to regional tourism. This latest performance by Franchouchou shows that the journey of the zombie idols is far from over; on the contrary, it is sailing toward new horizons. Fans are now eagerly awaiting future projects and a potential third season announcement following this surge of energy.
