Classroom for Heroes Manga Ends: An Eight-Year Adventure Concludes

Another era is coming to an end in the world of manga! The Classroom for Heroes (Eiyuu Kyoushitsu) manga, brought to life with the illustrations of Koara Kishida and welcoming readers into the halls of Rosewood Academy since 2016, is officially coming to an end. According to the latest announcement, the 23rd and final volume of the series will hit shelves this winter (late 2025 or early 2026). This adventure, which has been running for over eight years in Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine, will thus conclude with a grand finale.
The series is based on a popular light novel series written by Shin Araki and illustrated by Haruyuki Morisawa. Our story revolves around Blade, a former "Great Hero" who lost his powers after defeating the Demon King. Wanting nothing more than to live like an ordinary teenager and enjoy school life, Blade enrolls in Rosewood Academy, where elite hero candidates are trained. However, living a "normal" life for a former hero becomes much more difficult than expected once he meets the academy's most talented student, Arnest Flaming, and other interesting characters.
Classroom for Heroes gained global popularity with an anime adaptation produced by studio Actas in the summer of 2023. While the anime brought Blade's comedic and action-packed school days to the screen, Koara Kishida's manga adaptation also won the hearts of fans with its vibrant art style and the way it captured the emotional depth of the characters. Although the manga's conclusion comes at a time when the main story (the light novel) is still ongoing, this finale holds great significance for readers who have followed the visual narrative.
