New Manga from Mujirushi Shimazaki and Rika Kamiyoshi: A Reincarnation Story of a Noblewoman Who Fell into Darkness

Two beloved names in the manga world have joined forces for a fantastic story. Author Mujirushi Shimazaki and talented artist Rika Kamiyoshi officially launched their new manga series on May 6, 2026, in the June issue of Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine. The full title of the series is quite long, in keeping with the tradition of the genre: Yami Ochi Reijō wa Maō no Musume Alice ni Tenseishita no de Ōto de Anyaku suru Koto ni Shimashita (The Noblewoman Who Fell into Darkness Decided to Operate Secretly in the Royal Capital Because She Was Reincarnated as Alice, the Demon King's Daughter).
The story brings a fresh perspective to the "akuyaku reijo" (villainess) and "isekai" (transported to another world) themes that have taken the manga world by storm in recent years. The plot centers on a noblewoman who loses her reputation in society and is dragged into darkness, only to be reborn as Alice, the daughter of the Demon King. However, instead of remaining just a princess in her new life, Alice decides to forge her own destiny by carrying out secret activities in the shadows of the royal capital.
Author Mujirushi Shimazaki had previously proven his success in fantasy fiction and character depth with works such as The Necromancer Maid and Monster Tamer Girls. Artist Rika Kamiyoshi is particularly known for her "fluffy" drawing style. Kamiyoshi's art book titled Fuwamimi DAYS, published in recent months, once again showcased her mastery of character design. The coming together of this duo shows that the series has high potential both visually and narratively.
