New Trailer and Cast Details Released for Popular Manhwa 'Viral Hit' Live-Action Series on Netflix!

The globally popular manhwa by Taejun Pak and Kim Junghyun, Viral Hit (known in Japanese as Kenka Dokugaku), is preparing to meet its fans with a live-action series adaptation produced by Netflix. Netflix has released a new main trailer and a striking key visual for the highly anticipated production, also announcing new additions to the series' cast.
The release date, initially planned for May 28, 2026, has been postponed to June 11, 2026 with the latest announcement, and the series will be available globally exclusively on Netflix. The new trailer follows high school student Kota Shimura (original name in the manhwa: Hobin Yu), who is bullied and lives in poverty, as he learns to fight and gains fame through his live-streamed street fights. The trailer showcases action-packed scenes, as well as the chaotic nature of online fame, featuring a mysterious chicken-masked mentor.
In the lead role of the series, Ouji Suzuka portrays Kota Shimura, who fights against bullying. Among the newly announced cast members are Meru Nukumi as the heroine Kaho Asamiya and Noritaka Hamao as MMA prodigy Tatsuya Ogi. Additionally, it has been confirmed that Ai Mikami will play Aki Yashio, Araki Sugo will play Toru Kaneko, Kentaro Maeda will play Reo Shinjo, Yusuke Iseya will play Yugo Kuwata, and Nana Asakawa will bring Rumi to life.
